To those not around special needs often, they may not see the significants. But for us who devote our lives and time to our kids and clients and friends, it’s truly a beautiful thing to be apart of our kids learning and succeeding.
It’s not about what someone can’t do. It’s about what they can do! Especially given the tools they’ve been given in life.
I was so impressed with my hemispherectamy campers. My two campers have only half a brain and they have just done so splendidly and marvelously, it’s incredible. As one of their dads said, “my kid makes me proud of him each and every day,” more importantly, “it’s incredible just how much he teaches us about life every single day.”
